Earlier this month I wrote about my first experience shopping at Jewel-Osco while using their new MyMixx shopping app. Then a couple weeks ago I wrote about how using the MyMixx shopping app helped me shop at the last minute for an unplanned slumber party and how it also helped me save a ton of money during an awesome 3-day sale going on at Jewel-Osco.
Have you had a chance to try out the new app for saving money at Jewel-Osco? It’s the new shopping app called MyMixx. I LOVE shopping apps that can help you save money and that help simplify shopping. I downloaded MyMixx and played around a bit to get to know my way around. It’s pretty easy and self explanatory. You simply register, clip coupons and add items to your shopping list. Once at the register, you simply give your phone number to the cashier and the coupons automatically are used. It’s an easy app to use to save money at Jewel-Osco.
Not only is this shopping app awesome for helping you find the sales, clip coupons and save money, it’s also awesome for finding recipes! This week I decided to check out the recipes on the MyMixx shopping app. I never peeked at the list and wasn’t even sure how big the list was. Now I wish I checked it out sooner! I found some yummy looking Caramel Cashew Crunch Bars that I thought looked super easy to make. So while Gracie was at school, I ran up to Jewel-Osco to grab the ingredients!
The app gives you the whole list of ingredients and you can add them to your shopping list just by tapping on it! This makes shopping so much easier! I just grabbed my list and went shopping!
It even gives you the instructions and nutrition facts.
How cool is that!?!
This recipe literally took just minutes to make and was fun to make with Gracie, we did this while the babies were napping. She loved helping. It was ready to eat really quick too. The recipe called for coco crispies but I am not a fan of those so I used regular. So glad I have recipes at the tips of my fingers with the MyMixx app.
Thanks for the great idea MyMixx!
