If you have been around here for a while, you know that we co-sleep with our kids. Well, the little’s anyway. I co-sleep with my babies until they are not sleeping well and need their own space – or until we are not sleeping well and need our own space. Co-sleeping doesn’t necessarily mean bed-sharing, it can also mean sharing the same room. We have a big master bedroom, thankfully. We have our California king size bed, a dresser, a crib for Jack and a toddler bed for Gracie. Once one of us isn’t sleeping well (together in our bed), and need our own space, we start sleep training to wean the little one into the crib. We weaned all of our kids out of our bed and into the crib around 9 months. Jack, on the other hand, is still in our bed and he’s going on 2.5 years old. I am getting ready to start sleep training with him. Not only will I be weaning him out of our bed and into his crib, but I will also be weaning from breastfeeding at night time. I like using a bedtime toy to help with sleep training like a Dream Team Pet. The kids loved having a bedtime toy and it helped them feel a little more secure. Gracie still sleeps with her Dream Pets every night and she’s 5 years old.
Dream Team Pets
Dream Team Pets is much more than a bedtime toy-it’s an innovative kid’s sleep aid that helps end the bedtime battles of trying to keep your child in bed. Developed with the help of a pediatrician, Dream Team Pets bedtime routine empowers kids as they reward their Pet with stickers and a certificate for a good night’s sleep. If the child wakes up from a nightmare, there are no hard feelings because the responsibility is on their Pet, but when they successfully sleep in their own bed, the kids feel a sense of accomplishment as they reward their Dream Team Pet. What makes this unique is that the kids think they are training their Pet, but really they are sleep training themselves!
