Welcome to Fitness Friday!


Fitness Friday will be a weekly link up where we can all write an update on how our week went concerning diet changes, exercise, weight loss or inches lost, our achievements for the week and our failures. It can also include our goals for the following week, any healthy recipes, fun workouts or fitness products you’d like to share. I’m so excited to be partnering with Trista from Andersons Angels again! We partnered together when we first started Fitness Friday last year, then she took some time off when she had her baby – now she’s back! YAY!

How Was My Week?

My week was pretty good, I’m happy with how things went.

I only walked this week and then walked/ran once. I have a total of 9.4 miles in so far and we still have 3 more days left to complete. I did 3 mi. on Sunday, skipped Monday, over 5 miles on Tuesday, skipped Wednesday and did about 4.5 on Thursday. Tonight is our homecoming football game, we’re going so I probably won’t get in any walking unless I do it before evening.

I’ve lost another 3 lbs. so I’m up to a total of a 23 lbs. loss.

I also joined RunKeeper’s 50km Challenge. I’m only 3 days into it and I’m already at 58% complete.

As far as diet is concerned, I didn’t do so great this week only because we haven’t shopped. We have iceburg lettuce (yuk!) instead of Romaine lettuce and that tastes gross in my wrap. I did make chicken tacos and at a couple of those this week. Those are healthy. I’ve been doing good with water intake.

I am in a FB Beachbody group and there was a challenge going on, starting back in August. This is the last week and so I keep telling myself to really do good – eat less, drink more, exercise more… wish me luck! I will need to take my measurements to see how many inches I lost, so I’m really curious.

**By the way, I’m looking for healthy crock pot recipes – if you have any, share them! I don’t have time to cook, I need to use my slow cooker. Between therapy coming over all week long for Jack, and doing daycare during the day time, I just don’t have time to “cook”. Plus slow cooker meals seems to feed my family of 8, and if not, I just double the recipe. I need smoothie ideas too, I’m getting bored with the same old fruit!

  2. 3 pounds is great! My husband just got a fitbit that we plan on sharing. So we’ll see how active I am and where I should be. Looks like you are making some great progress.
