Don’t Miss a Thing, Go RVing and See It All!

A big thanks to GoRVing.com for hosting this conversation. #GoRVing!

When I was a kid, we traveled a LOT. We had a cabin about 2 hours from home on a teeny tiny lake. We had a big cabin about 4 hours away in Iowa on a huge lake. And then we traveled almost every weekend through spring, summer and fall. Very rarely did we end up in a hotel because we traveled in a towable RV. My parents belonged to this weird club where hunting dogs competed and there were functions every single weekend it seems like. Some people had RV’s and some just stayed in hotels. When we traveled we spent most of our time in an RV. There were never many kids there so it was convenient for me and my sister to be able to go in our RV and relax for a bit.

So Many Reasons to Go RVing
!

Besides these functions with my parents and their dog club, we did enjoy regular RVing for fun. Seriously, RVing is the best way to travel because it’s fun and you don’t miss a thing. I loved driving as a kid and I still do. A day’s drive is nothing to us, you can just get in the RV and go… and you can see it all at the same time. You just can’t beat that.

Here’s a bunch of great reasons to GoRVing:

  • You can take the kids
  • It’s comfortable
  • Go at your own pace. Go where you want, when you want.
  • You can take your pet
  • You can be active! Take your bike, fish, cook out, go off-roading
  • It’s affordable! No hotels to pay each day.

I had so much fun RVing as a kid and I would love to share the same experiences with my kids. There is truly an RV for everyone whether you want a towable RV or a motorized RV. We’d love a motorized RV but I am trying to talk Mike into a towable RV for a few different reasons. For our very first RV, the towable RV’s are a bit more affordable. I think that would be a great start, as long as it sleeps enough since we have a large family. Then we can save up for a motorized RV.

The very first place we want to go is the Grand Canyon. We will drive all the way from Illinois and we’ll explore every minute of it because an RV is the best way to travel! I can’t wait to see it all. I want to take the kids hiking, cook over a camp fire, fish with them – I want to experience it all.
