Last Day of the Walker Stalker Con in Chicago | Don’t Miss #TheWalkingDead

A big thanks to the Walker Stalker Con for providing VIP passes in exchange for media coverage.

So we’re 2 days into the Walker Stalker Con in Chicago and we’ve had a blast! There is still one more day to catch this convention before they head out of town – so be sure not to miss it! Today (Sunday the 16th) is the last day here in Chicago!

the Walker Stalker Con in Chicago #TheWalkingDead

We’ve seen so much over the last couple of days! I have to show you just a small part of what we were able to see during the last two days of the Walker Stalker Con. There is really so much at this convention, it’s hard to cover it all… so I’ll show you a bunch of photos I got.

Here’s a random zombie walking around, they’re all over the place!

Panel Show and Q & A Session with Steven Yeun (Glen) and Lauren Cohan(Maggie):

I got this photo of Steven Yeun and we were able to get this signed by him during the autograph session. Steven is such a cool guy! I saw him a few times on the Conan O’Brien show. One of the shows Steven was talking about how he had a shirtless scene and he was a bit embarrassed about his small nipples. It’s quiet hilarious so when I met him, I joked with him and told him that Conan wanted to know how his small nipple was doing.  Steven’s response was HILARIOUS! He’s too funny!

Check out this cake!
the Walker Stalker Con in Chicago #TheWalkingDead Zombie Cake

This cake is for Greg Nicotero’s b-day. He’s the special effects creator, actor, and producer/director for some of the episodes of The Walking Dead TV Series. Greg has been on the show more than 5 times as a “walker” and has had the privilege of being killed by Laurie Holden (Andrea) three times. We all got to eat a piece of this!

If you’re a book fan, comic fan, zombie fan, horror fan – keep your money at home haha. You’ll drop a lot of money! Such cool stuff at these booths!

Here’s a few things I got:

  • The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga (I got this signed by Jay)
  • The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga (I got this signed by Jay too!)
  • Zombie, Ohio: A Tale of the Undead by Scott Kenemore (I met Scott and got this signed)
  • Zombie, Illinois by Scott Kenmore (I got this signed too!)
  • I also got 2 comics called “Crossed: Family Values” and “Crossed”

Me and my son are having a great time meeting new people and are looking forward to heading out today.  Besides meeting a couple of the cast members like Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan, and others like the authors Jay and Scott and seeing so many people related to The Walking Dead. We’ve met a couple who live in Georgia. They live in the area where the show is shot. They explained what the fans can do (if in Georgia at the time of shooting) to meet the cast after a day of shooting their scenes. We’re actually going to be in Georgia later this year during shooting so we’re all excited to see some action! We’ve met some fun comic book vendors, like Jim Lesniak, who are fun to talk to.

If you’re going to be in the Chicago area – don’t miss the last day of the Walker Stalker Con. There is still a lot going on today! Visit the Walker Stalker Con website for more information and to see the schedule for today.

See ya there!
