Mike has always wanted to visit Britain but getting him on a plane is the hard part. He’s always wanted to see Britain’s castles and Shakespeare’s attractions. Mostly, he’s wanted to see the film locations in the U.K. like Alnwick Castle, the Bodleian Library in Oxford and Durham Cathedral because he’s sooo into Harry Potter. He also wants to check out the Knight’s Templar’s Temple Church and Westminster Abbey because of The Da Vinci Code. Oh and Glencoe, Glen Nevis (the wettest valley in Europe) because that’s where Braveheart was filmed. He’s crazy about all of Britain, he even wants to move there!
Check out the Double Tree by Hilton in Liverpool!
Find Your Storybook
Expedia.com (the world’s leading online travel company) and Visit Britain (the national tourist board for England, Scotland and Wales) have partnered together to inspire more Americans to visit the U.K., with a campaign called “Find Your Storybook”.
“Find Your Storybook” launched on February 9th, kicked off with a TV ad during CBS-TV’s special, “The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles,” Did you get to see that? I missed it, boo! The TV ad will be viewed in key U.S. markets, on broadcast and cable networks during programs including the Oscars and the Sochi Winter Olympics. This ad brings you out of the real world and right into fantasy-land showing how you can visit Britian and bring your imagination to life with all of the castles, knights and queens and much more!
Anyone can ‘write their own story’. Visit Expedia and discover some of the enchanted locations Britain has to offer and ‘find your storybook’!
If you got the chance to visit Britain, what are some places you’d like to see?
