One of my favorite things every Christmas is our personalized ornaments and the crafts and ornaments that the younger kids make at school. Those adorable handmade gifts from kids are the best and I love those more than any other gift I could get.
Last year Gracie came home from preschool with a homemade melted snowman ornament she made. It was a melted snowman inside of the see-through ornament and the tag said, “You Melt My Heart”. It was so sweet, I love it.
This year she came home from preschool with a pretty pink ornament with her hand print on it. Each finger was a snowman. It’s adorable, take a look…
The tag on this handmade hand print snowman ornament says this:
“These aren’t just five little snowmen as anyone can see. I made them with my hand which is part of me. Now each year when you trim the tree you’ll look back and recall… Christmas of 2013 when my hand was just this small.”
Oh my gosh, that poem makes me cry every time I read it. It’s just the sweetest thing!
So if you’re looking for a sweet gift that your child can make and is more personal than the typical gift… give this a shot. You’ll only need a colored ornament and white paint.
