Yes, you read that right!

We decided to decorate our corn dogs, after all… we spend how much time decorating the house, the Christmas tree, Christmas cookies, right? Why not decorate our corn dogs?!?

We were out shopping at Sam’s Club this weekend and picked up a box of Country Ribbon Corn Dogs. I like buying these because the box comes with a total of 30 corn dogs and with my large family plus daycare kids – we need a big box. I also picked up a bunch of fun snack ideas that we were going to use to decorate our corn dogs.

Corn Dog Decorating

I gave Gracie some Christmas ideas and she decided that she wanted to try to make a snowman, a Santa and a Christmas tree. It wasn’t easy, but here’s what we came up with…

Corn Dog Decorating

Santa Corn Dog

For our Santa Corn Dog we used:

  • A strawberry for his hat
  • A marshmallow for the ball on his hat.
  • Pretzels for his arms
  • Chocolate chips for his eyes and buttons.

Snowman Corn Dog

For our Snowman Corn Dog we:

  • First cut the corn dog into 3 pieces.
  • We put a cookie in between each “snow ball”.
  • Used a chocolate dipped marshmallow on top of a cookie for his hat
  • Pretzels for his arms.
  • Candy corn for his nose
  • Chocolate chips for buttons and eyes.

Christmas Tree Corn Dog

  • Pretzels to shape the corn dog into a Christmas tree.
  • M&M’s used as ornament

Gracie had a blast… even if these turned out kind of… goofy haha. She enjoyed eating the corn dog more than she did the candy decoration.

And of course, all the kids love eating Country Ribbon Corn Dogs even if they aren’t decorating them!

  2. What a cute idea to decorate a corn dog, I’ll have to try this with the kids. For some reason now, I want corn dogs for dinner. 🙂

  3. LOL I love how creative they got with them! So cute!!!

  4. That’s awesome! I love the creativity. Snowman corndog is so cute. I haven’t gotten too creative with the corndogs themselves, BUT when I was 9 I was a huge fan of The X-Men comics, and I used corn dog sticks to make my own X-Men “Figures”. I would cut the sticks in half and draw the characters on them with pen. There were so many characters in X-Men that I had a Ziploc bag full of my corndog stick X-Men “figures”. LOL!

  5. The snowman was my favorite, how fun!! My kids are huge fans of corn dogs, they would absolutely go crazy to get to decorate them!

  6. Say what? That’s what I was thinking when I saw the title of this post, but I totally get it now. It looks like your kids had great fun!

  7. Those are too funny! I haven’t made anything of my corn dogs but now I’m totally craving one! My son loves them, too.
