Handprint Craft and Poem for the First Day of School

Last year was Gracieโ€™s first year of preschool and she brought home a lot of cute little craft projects and craft ideas. I shared a few of them here on my blog. Now that school has started and she is in her second year of preschool, I plan to share a few more.

On her first day of school, she came home with Back to School Magic Confetti and this adorable handprint craft with a poem and I knew I wanted to share it with you!

  33. I love this idea! We use a lot of handprint, fingerprint, and footprint craft ideas in my home daycare, and I have never seen this one! Being a parent, and grandparent myself, I truly appreciate the personal aspect of having artwork that includes their little hands and being able to look back years later remembering how tiny they actually were!

I have a 19 and a 17 year old and I still have some of their stuff through out the years crafts and all of the awards they have gotten thru their whole entire school “career” lol. I plan on keeping all of the stuff from my 6 year old and then when the younger 2 kids go to school too…
