Trace Adkins County Lineup at the RiverEdge Park
Earlier in the week I told you about Trace Adkins coming to the RiverEdge Park in Aurora, IL. and I was giving away a family 4-pack of Preferred General Admission tickets. Well… the concert was last night and it was awesome! I want to tell you about it and share some amazing pictures!
The 30-acre park was designed in a way that would serve many purposes. From the canoe/kayak launch and natural landscaping to the VIP Rooftop Deck and 10-acre music venue, this is the new recreation and entertainment destination of the suburbs. Bring your kids and fly a kite. Enjoy a local band in the music pavilion with friends. Spread out a blanket and watch fireworks with the family on the 4th of July. RiverEdge Park is your backyard away from home.
I know this makes no sense, but I’m from the Aurora area and I have never been to the RiverEdge Park – crazy, huh?!? The RiverEdge Park is located literally on the Fox River and is right across the street from the train station – so convenient. The ‘park’ is really spacious, I really loved this location and the whole park set up is perfect. There was a handful of vendors there so we had a fantastic selection of food and drink.
Take a look…
Above in the top two pictures you can see all of the General Admission seating on the grass and the bottom two pictures you can see the Preferred General Admission bench seats.
The park was great for little kids, lots of running around space.
We hung back on the grass area for the first three shows so it wasn’t too loud for Baby Jack. He does have his own pair of earmuffs for noise, but we didn’t have to put them on him. I ended up bringing him home just before the Trace Adkins show so I could enjoy myself a little more. Jack was tired from the hot day and since we live so close… he was happy to go home, eat and go to bed for the night. This left Mike and I the ability to go sit up front or anything else we wanted.
The Trace Adkins Country Lineup
- Drake White – 4:00pm (Kid Rock/Country sound)
- Blackberry Smoke – 5:30pm (A true southern rock country band. Imagine Lynyrd Skynyrd with a little twang. Blackberry Smoke’s country-rock singles include “Good One Comin’ On” and “Pretty Little Lie.” Having opened for Zac Brown Band, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd)
- Aaron Lewis – 7:00pm Aaron Lewis (from the rock group Staind, but he’s turned country with hits like “Country Boy,” “Forever,” and “Endless Summer.)
- TRACE ADKINS – 8:30pm – Need I say more?!?
Check these guys out…
And of course you know I wouldn’t leave you without some awesome Trace Adkins shots…
Is that too many shots? I’m sorry… I just couldn’t help myself haha!
All these bands were awesome and of course it was so exciting seeing Trace Adkins live. That man definitely has charisma for sure. He had the audience going crazy quite a few times. Of course he gets the ladies going but Mike loves Trace’s music and his attitude and personality… so Mike was pretty excited to see Trace Adkins live and up close up. The RiverEdge Park was comfortable and a great place to enjoy a summer concert and I would definitely recommend visiting. Spending the day at RiverEdge Park was much better than putting up with the chaos of other Chicagoland stadiums and much more comfortable.
Head over to the RiverEdge Park website and check out the calendar to see what shows are coming up. Also follow RiverEdge Park on Facebook and on Twitter @RiverEdgeAurora.
FYI for all you mom’s out there – Bridgette Mendler is coming to RiverEdge Park in August!! You know, Teddy Dunkin from Good Luck Charley on the Disney Channel!! My Gracie (4 years old) loves Good Luck Charlie and my teen girls do to… I’m hoping to make it to that show. I’d love to share it with you if I go.
What do you think of Trace?!?
