It’s #ChickenFryTime with Tyson Chicken Fries!

As parents, sometimes we feel like we are running around with our heads cut off. Weather we work in the home or out of the home, we are always busy and then when dinner time rolls around we realize we haven’t even started to think about what to feed everyone.

This is one reason I love Tyson Chicken Fries. When I need a quick chicken dinner, I can pull out the bag of Tyson Chicken Fries and whip up a quick dipping sauce and everyone is happy… even dad!

This particular day was a bit crazy around here. Our area had massive flooding from an all-week-down-pour and I had kept the kids home from school the day before because of flooded roads. They had finished off the frozen pizzas and other ‘easy food’ and we were running a bit low on our food supply so Mike and I decided to pack up and go shopping for something easy for dinner. Mike wanted some kind of chicken dinner and as long as it was quick and easy – it was fine with me because the afternoon was going to get even more hectic. My older girls were leaving and I had to have dinner cooked early for them.

We headed off to Sam’s Club. I found the Tyson Chicken Fries Demo and we were given samples to try…

I thought the chicken was perfect and my daycare boy, Jayden, thought so too… so we went to find the bag of Tyson Chicken Fries along with some side dishes for the night. I got corn on the cob and fries to go with our chicken dinner and cheesy broccoli for me and Becca. We are the only one’s who like it haha. You can check out what else we found in my Google Album.

While the chicken and fries were cooking in the oven, I decided to make a dipping sauce for chicken. With so many kids in the house, it’s not easy to please everyone so I don’t like to take a lot of time coming  up with something. One kid will only use ketchup, one will only use honey and one will only eat his chicken plain… but the rest of us like something different. I decided to make up a quick spicy ranch dip for chicken. I use a cayenne pepper sauce and ranch dressing. Sometimes I use Cholula and sometime Frank’s Red Hot. I mix as much hot sauce as we like – depending on who is eating it and how spicy we like it. Tonight it was me, Becca and Mike and we like it HOT.

 Spicy Ranch Dipping Sauce:
  • Ranch Salad Dressing – start with 1/4 cup if serving 2 people.
  • Favorite Hot Sauce (I think Cayenne pepper sauce tastes best mixed with ranch, it’s a similar taste to buffalo chicken or hot wings dipped in ranch) – uses to taste, a little at a time until you get the desired amount of spice.

I had the Tyson Chicken Fries, fries, corn on the cob and cheesy broccoli ready to eat when the kids got home from school which worked out perfect. Two of my older kids were leaving right away so I was able to have dinner done and the kids fed before they left for the night. What was also nice, is we had some chicken left over. This came in handy later on when my older (and always hungry) son was looking for a quick chicken snack at the end of the night.
